TeachSL.lk ("us", "we", or "our") operates the teachsl.lk website (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

• Teachers: When you register, we collect your name, phone number, email address, and a password. You may also provide profile information such as subjects, grades, and social media links.
• Students: When you register for a teacher's class, we collect your name, phone number, password, and optionally your address, school, gender, and date of birth.

Google Drive Integration (Teachers Only)

To use our "Papers" feature, you (the teacher) may choose to connect your Google Drive account. We use the Google Drive API to provide this service.

• Permissions Requested: We request the `https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive` scope.
• Why we request this: This permission is required so our application can:
  1. Find or create a specific folder in your Drive named "TeachSL Papers".
  2. Upload paper files (PDFs) that you select from your computer *only* into that "TeachSL Papers" folder.
  3. Read and display the files that are *only* in that "TeachSL Papers" folder to your authenticated students.
  4. Delete files *only* from that "TeachSL Papers" folder when you delete them from the dashboard.
• We **do not** access, read, or interact with any other files or folders in your Google Drive. Our access is limited *only* to the specific "TeachSL Papers" folder created and used by our application for its intended purpose.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain our Service (e.g., to show your classes to your students).
• To manage your account and your content.
• To send you service-related notifications, such as password reset emails and content access requests.
• To store and serve your "Paper" files to your authorized students via the Google Drive API.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your information (e.g., your name, classes) is shared only between you (the teacher) and the students you approve for your classes, as necessary for the function of the Service.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your personal information. Passwords are hashed, and API keys (like Google Drive tokens) are stored securely.

Your Rights

You may review and update your profile information at any time through your dashboard. Teachers can delete their content (classes, lessons, papers) from the dashboard. You can disconnect your Google Drive account from our Service at any time via your dashboard, which deletes our stored access tokens.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
